Escort254 (“we”, “us”) operates as a Data Controller for certain personal data under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019. This Policy explains what we collect, why, how we store it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
- Account & profile data: name/nickname, email, phone number, county/town, age (must be 18+), appearance fields you choose to provide, profile description, pricing text you enter, and profile/gallery images you upload.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, and approximate access logs needed for security and abuse prevention.
- Communications: messages you send via Contact / Report Abuse forms (name, phone, profile reference, and your written details).
- Cookies / local storage: preferences such as age/terms acknowledgment to remember your consent on this device.
2. Why We Process Data
- To operate the bulletin-board / introduction Platform and display profiles you create.
- To verify accounts, prevent spam/fraud, and respond to abuse or legal requests.
- To contact you about your account, billing/activation where applicable, or safety issues.
- To comply with applicable law.
3. How We Store & Secure Data
Data is stored on servers and databases used to run the Platform. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (access controls, least-privilege admin access, and secure transmission where supported) to reduce the risk of unauthorised access. No online service is perfectly secure; you should avoid posting sensitive data you are not willing to share publicly on a profile.
4. Sharing
Profile information you publish is visible to visitors of the Platform. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users’ safety, or to investigate abuse reports. Service providers who host or process data for us may process data under our instructions.
5. Your Rights (Including Deletion)
Subject to the Data Protection Act, 2019, you may request:
- Access to personal data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Permanent deletion of your account and associated profile data (Right to be Forgotten), subject to legal retention needs (e.g. fraud/abuse records for a limited period)
To request deletion or correction: use Contact Us (select delete profile) or Report Abuse / data request, or email the address listed on those pages if provided. We aim to respond within a reasonable period and, for abuse/takedown reports, to review flagged material within 24–48 hours where practicable.
6. Retention
We retain account and profile data while your account is active. After a verified deletion request, we remove or anonymise profile content from public view and delete underlying records except where retention is required for security, dispute, or legal compliance.
7. Children
The Platform is strictly for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Reports of underage users are treated as priority abuse reports.
8. Contact
